Well lads and ladies, we're only 3 days out from the biggest XC event for us this year- the IUAA XC Championships in Jordanstown this Saturday!

We've got the entries in, and we'll be leaving Friday afternoon at 4.45 pm sharp from the front of Castlewhite Apartments on Western Road, and heading to Dublin that night, and then Jordanstown Saturday morning. Please remember your student cards, gear and spikes (you'd be surprised), maybe some Pounds Sterling (as we'll be up North) and formal/semi-formal attire for the ball Saturday night (college colours always look good).

Cost will be about 30 euro pp for the weekend, and we'll try and collect it on the way up on Friday night. Gear will also be available at training tomorrow for those who have ordered it. Check out the event page on our website and the event Facebook page for more details on the XC.

There's less than a week and a half to got til the All Ireland Intervarsity Cross Country in Jordanstown, so it only seems right that we'll have ourselves a little Cork warm-up in preparation for the event. Tomorrow (the 27th) we're hosting a XC race out in the Farm; 5k for men, 3k for women, first race going off at 5pm. See you there!

It's almost here! The annual Banna training weekend is on from this Friday til Sunday with all the usual bits- an easy run Saturday morning at 10.30, sand dunes session at 3.30 and of course the long run Sunday morning to freshen up some sore heads.
The bus will be leaving at 4.15 pm sharp Friday afternoon, from the front of Castlewhite on Western Road. Please bring your 40 euro for the trip with you on the day, as well as plenty of warm gear. See you all then!

The annual Banna training weekend will be taking place the 18th-20th of January. Always one of the highlights of the year, it's perfect for sharpening up, particularly for the distance athletes with indoors just around the corner. And of course, it's great criaic! More details to come after the Christmas break; we'll be taking names in the first week back.

This coming Friday sees the return of the Annual CIT Floodlight Cross Country. Held out at the CIT sports grounds, it's a great last race before the Christmas break, and a nice, friendly introduction to cross country for newcomers! Always a hotly-contested UCC-CIT derby, it's ideal for anybody looking to get a race in who isn't competing in the National Novice XC this weekend.
